How it Works

PWISystem

The automated system is comprised of the following components:

1. PWI Chlorine – to produce a concentrated solution of chlorine. Includes the chlorine generator, salt water holding tank and concentrated chlorine holding tank.

2. Tank Infrastructure – includes tanks for holding raw water and treated water ready for distribution. A secured building to store PWI equipment.

3. Filtering – a fully automated, self-cleaning filter and pump system to remove organic materials such as dirt, sand, debris and human and animal waste.

4. Chlorine Injection – to inject the concentrated chlorine solution into the final water distribution system.

5. Monitoring Indicators – to control the production, flow and distribution of water, as well as trouble shoot system components.

As part of the monitoring process, the sensors control the amounts of chlorine produced, the amount of chlorine in reserve, when salt solutions need to be replenished, and when maintenance problems arise. Because of its automation the monitoring sensors reduces the amount of human intervention necessary during the processing of the water.
